As part of its Registrar business, Gandi has developed thousands of
lines of code. Gandi strongly believes in the benefits of open source
software, and thus makes part of its code available using a free software
license.
WARNING !!! It's a kind of very old unsupported software.
Software available
- WhoisExtract : set of Perl modules which handles different whois formats to extract key
elements (owner details, contact email and handle, creation and expiration date)
- IRI : OO abstraction layer over domain name Registries
(implementing RRP & 3 versions of EPP)

- 2007/06/19 : Ouch ! So long... We *may* do something here, one of these days...
- 2003/04/11 : first version of Gandi-IRI now available for download
- 2003/02/13 : version 6.0 of WhoisExtract is available in the download section
(many new & corrected Registrars, handling of .ORG domain names, parse of status)
- 2002/03/07 : version 5.0 of WhoisExtract is available in the download section
(many new Registrars, many bugfixes, and new functions)
- 2001/07/31 : version 4.0 of WhoisExtract is available in the download section
(3 new Registrars, 2 name changes)
- 2001/07/09 : version 3.0 of WhoisExtract is available in the download section
(4 new Registrars, few names changes and bugfixes).
- 2001/05/30 : version 2.0 of WhoisExtract is available in the download section (6 new Registrars handled and 5 names changed).
- 2001/04/20 : version 1.0 of WhoisExtract is available in the download section
- 2001/03/29 : open.gandi.net goes live, with the
